Welcome, Israel Broder, our new cousin, born April 9th. Congratualtions to his parents Mordechai and Shifra! (no picture yet...)
We got a little taste of being truly isolated here on the coast over the weekend, when the (apparently only) fiber optic trunkline went down under a landslide, taking with it our 911 service, internet and ability to call out of the local area. I'm going to get more serious with my earthquake prep now.
But we weren't lonely:
