All over it
Jacob finished the last of his IV antibiotics as an out-patient in the clinic yesterday, and his nurse, Diep, came in to remove his PICC line. He had the PICC (peripheral intravenous catheter - like a mini hickman or broviac in his arm) placed while he was in intensive care after having five IVs fail within 24 hours.
Needless to say, Jacob could hardly wait, and when she told him he could pull it out himself he just yanked and out came the first 20 cm of tubing. She screamed "AAAAAH, I wasn't ready!" But it was too late, so they went ahead and pulled the other half out.
So not only did he get free, but he got to flip out Diep. Score!
Afterwards we went to the beach for a formal portrait session with Tammy Trejo and her assistant Trevor. It was an amazing experience, and Jacob was climbing the cliffs between shots.
