Anniversaries
It was two years ago today that Jacob received the stem cell transplant that saved his life. The doctors and nurses sang happy birthday to him, marking a new beginning.
Last month on April 16th, marked three years since Jacob's brain tumor was originally diagnosed.
And today it was also one year since our little friend Nicholas left this Earth.
My thoughts are full of Nicholas' family, who have spent this painful year helping other families navigating a child's cancer, and of our incredible fortune in having Jacob here with us, and Jacob's courage in staying here with us.
